The tea ceremony.
A guided Japanese tea ceremony — six guests, seventy-five minutes, every weekend in the Annex.
A quiet room. A bowl of matcha. Nothing else.
Not a workshop — a ceremony
Guided by a trained hand.
Every weekend, our resident Urasenke-certified instructor opens a small ceremony at the Annex. This is not a matcha workshop — it is a ceremony, guided by years of dedicated practice in the Urasenke tradition.
You will sit, watch, and receive a bowl of ceremonial matcha whisked by a trained hand. You'll learn the meaning behind each gesture — the bow, the turn of the bowl, the silence. When you are ready, you will whisk your own.
